Background - I live in Exeter and often walk between Heavitree and Paris Street. Often I wonder if the new student accommodation will be needed as education moves online. Over time there is discussion about this but the building never stops. Today Guardian story on threat to HE outreach and support for students having to work at jobs / commute from home . Government funding required. No mention of technology to reduce costs / expand marketing. Universities UK Press Release not emphasising outreach / student support. Survey shows interest in “digital transformation” but not much detail. More found through google AI. My guess is that the online discussion post lockdown has been mostly sidelined. The campus is back to “normal”. The Guardian is reluctant to consider a scene after print so ignores EdTech. Comment welcome, this may be unfair.
